Recent casting news suggested that some big characters from the later issues of The Walking Dead comic book series would be making their way to The Walking Dead TV series in the fourth season. Following The Walking Dead panel at New York Comic Con this evening, we can now confirm two new major additions to the cast.

The first announcement is that Josh McDermitt (Retired at 35) will take on the role of Dr. Eugene Porter: [via THR]"In the Image/Skybound comics, Eugene is a former high school science teacher who first appears in the 53rd issue of the series. He travels with sports coach/Army Sgt. Abraham Ford and Rosita"

It was previously announced that Christian Serratos would be taking on the role of Rosita, and Michael Cudlitz(Southland) has just been announced as the man playing Army Sgt. Abraham Ford.
