A horror comedy character that packs a punch, the Goon has prowled the pages of comic books and faced down evil time and time again over the past 20 years, and creator Eric Powell recently resurrected the iconic character in the first issue of a new comic book series published by his company, Albatross Funnybooks. In the third issue of the revamped Goon, the mummy of an ancient Egyptian ruler escapes his sarcophagus, and we've been provided with exclusive preview pages to share with Daily Dead readers!

You can read our exclusive preview pages from The Goon #3 below, visit Albatross Funnybooks online for more information on new and vintage Goon comics, and keep an eye out for The Goon #3 when it's released on June 26th. Also, in case you missed it, read our Q&A with Powell about the return of his beloved comic book character.

About the Author - Derek Anderson

Raised on a steady diet of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps books and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Derek has been fascinated with fear since he first saw ForeverWare being used on an episode of Eerie, Indiana.

When he’s not writing about horror as the Senior News Reporter for Daily Dead, Derek can be found daydreaming about the Santa Carla Boardwalk from The Lost Boys or reading Stephen King and Brian Keene novels.
