Even though the Halloween season is still right behind us, it's already time to look ahead to the winter holidays, and after releasing their Ho! Ho! Hellboy piece last year, Mantic Games is once again teaming up with Dark Horse Comics and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola for a limited edition Hellboy: The Board Game miniature, this time based on Krampus.

Press Release: MILWAUKIE, Ore. (October 31, 2019) — Mantic Games is pleased to announce it will be releasing a special, limited edition Hellboy: The Board Game miniature, inspired by the fiendish Krampus! Following the success of the fantastic Christmas-themed Ho! Ho! Hellboy last year, Mantic is working with Dark Horse Comics and visionary creator Mike Mignola again to give your holiday season the creeps.

This limited-edition celebratory piece will be available to pre-order from November 1st from participating Mantic stockists and direct from Mantic Games at www.manticgames.com. After being designed by a digital sculptor, each Krampus gaming piece will be painstakingly handcrafted by our resin team here at Mantic HQ in Nottingham, UK, before being shipped around the world this December.

Inspired by the 2018 Eisner Award Winning One-Shot, Krampusnacht, written by Mike Mignola and illustrated by Adam Hughes, the Krampus is a terrifying new threat to add to your adventures in Hellboy: The Board Game.

“After doing something nice with last year’s Ho! Ho! Hellboy, this year we definitely wanted to do something naughty,” said Ronnie Renton, Mantic Games CEO. “The Krampus is one of Hellboy’s most disturbing foes and we couldn’t resist the opportunity to add a few chills to the festive season. Making it available in superb quality resin, will ensure we capture the haunting quality of the source material.”

Measuring approximately 6cm tall, Krampus comes unpainted and requires assembly, but will most definitely make a fantastic festive-themed gift for any Hellboy fan. The set also comes with exclusive Unexpected Threat cards for use in Hellboy: The Board Game.

Hellboy: The Board Game is a co-operative experience in which players face off against some of the comic’s most famous foes. Up to four people take control of iconic B.R.P.D. members – Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman and Johann Kraus - before exploring gothic locations, uncovering ancient artifacts and battling one of Hellboy’s most notorious foes, Rasputin!
