Marvel has announced a limited Dexter comic book series that will be written by Jeff Lindsay, the author of the Dexter novels the TV series is based on:

The character of Dexter Morgan debuted in 2004’s Dily’s Award-winning Darkly Dreaming Dexter and has since appeared in five subsequent novels, with the seventh novel, Dexter’s Debut, scheduled for release in 2013. Marvels’ Dexter #1 marks the first time a story in the novels’ continuity has been presented in the comic book format.
