The brick building toy aisle is about to get invaded by the living dead. For twenty years, McFarlane Toys has revolutionized the action figure aisle with their mature approach to material and incredible detail. Now founder Todd McFarlane is bringing the same unique angle to the brick building genre of toys with his The Walking Dead building sets and figures, set to shamble exclusively into Toys “R” Us stores this October.
McFarlane Toys' first expansion into the brick building toy category will allow fans to recreate three memorable images from AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon with Chopper, The Governor’s Room, and Prison Tower with Gate. Additionally, collectors may purchase these blind bag figures to add to their sets: Daryl Dixon, Michonne, The Governor, Carl Grimes, Riot Gear Walker, Michonne’s Pet Walker, and Herd Walkers.
You don't have to fork over your life savings to accumulate a nice collection, as the building sets will be priced between $9.99 - $64.99 and the blind bag figures will be priced at $2.99. MTV.com reports that blind bags will be marked in a way to let buyers know whether it contains a human or a walker.
