It is being reported that Michelle Rodriguez has joined the cast of Resident Evil: Retribution. According to Bloody Disgusting, she has signed on to reprise her role as "Rain Ocampo" from the first Resident Evil film.

It was previously reported that Colin Salmon will reprise his role from the first film as well. Given what happens to both characters in Resident Evil, it will be interesting to see how they make their return.

Paul W.S. Anderson is back to direct, with confirmed cast members including Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, and Boris Kodjoe. Resident Evil: Retribution begins filming in Toronto and will be released on September 14th, 2012.
