With her war against the Umbrella Corporation behind her (for now) in the Resident Evil franchise, Milla Jovovich is looking to take on a beloved demon in what could be her next movie.

Deadline reports that Jovovich is in "final talks" to play the Blood Queen, "a medieval sorceress" looking to put an end to humanity as we know it in the Hellboy reboot.

Back in May, it was reported that a Hellboy reboot was moving forward at Lionsgate and Millennium with Neil Marshall (The Descent) in the director's chair and Harbour (Stranger Things, Suicide Squad) playing Hellboy, who was portrayed by Ron Perlman in Guillermo del Toro's previous two films based on Mike Mignola's seminal comic book series.

In addition to Harbour, Jovovich would join Ian McShane in the cast, as it was recently revealed that the American Gods and Deadwood actor will play the role of Professor Broom, performed by the late, great John Hurt in Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

According to THR, the creative team behind the new Hellboy movie is aiming to start filming in the UK and Bulgaria this September. Marshall will work from a screenplay being worked on by Aron Coleite, based on a draft written by Mignola, Christopher Golden, and Andrew Cosby. Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin, and Dark Horse Entertainment's Mike Richardson are producing the project,

We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more information is announced. In the meantime, check out our Q&A with co-writer Golden. What are your thoughts on Jovovich playing the Blood Queen opposite Harbour's Hellboy?
