We have some new casting news for Resident Evil: Retribution. As reported previously, the next installment of the Resident Evil franchise will continue where the last one left off and we expect to see the return of many characters from past films.

Boris Kodjoe confirmed his return as Luther West on Twitter today, saying: "Ok, Resident Evil fans. @MillaJovovich and myself are up here in Toronto getting ready for RE5 More action than ever!!!"

Colin Salmon also posted on Twitter yesterday to confirm that he'd be back for a role in the new Resident Evil movie. Fans of the first film will remember that he gets taken out by a nasty laser trap. Will he be returning as the same character? It isn't known, but he mentioned the following: "Cannot share how I return because it's intrinsic to the plot".

Boris Kodjoe and Colin Salmon will be joining Milla Jovovich and Sienna Guillory in the sequel. Resident Evil: Retribution will be released on September 14th, 2012 and will be filming in Toronto with Paul W.S. Anderson returning as the director. We expect to have additional casting announcements over the next couple of weeks.
