You may be familiar with the stomach-churning (and bursting) horrors of Xenomorphs, but one of several new images (via Empire) from Alien: Covenant offers a look at something else to fear in the franchise's vast universe: the Neomorph. (Potential spoiler warning: The new images feature what could be some key plot points, so you may want to avoid checking them out if you'd like to experience the Prometheus follow-up without knowing what to expect).

You can view Empire's new images of Alien: Covenant below. The images include a lethal airstrike on the Engineers' world, the android David (Michael Fassbender) speaking with what looks to be Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce), and an Alien creature known as a Neomorph enjoying a meal of human flesh and innards.

Also giving insights into Alien: Covenant are new crew transmission videos featuring Tennessee, Lope, and Rosenthal, which you can also check out below.

Alien: Covenant synopsis: "Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape."

Directed by Ridley Scott, Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby. 20th Century Fox will unleash Alien: Covenant in theaters on May 19th.
