Fittingly featured upside down, the cast members of Stranger Things are shown at a script reading in a new behind-the-scenes photo announcing that production is underway on the second season.

Shared on the show's official Twitter and Facebook pages, the photo features much of the show's young cast, including Millie Bobby Brown, who was recently confirmed to be coming back as Eleven in season 2.

Expected to have a tone influenced by James Cameron's big approach to sequels (Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgment Day), The Duffer Brothers told EW that the second season of Stranger Things will bring back most of the characters from season 1, will cross town lines, explore more of the Upside Down, and consist of nine episodes compared to the first season's eight installments.

Although an exact premiere date has yet to be announced, Stranger Things Season 2 will debut in 2017 on Netflix. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates.
