In Heather Wixson's 4.5-star Sundance review, she wrote "there’s no doubt in my mind that Little Monsters is poised to be the breakout horror hit of 2019." We're excited for Daily Dead readers to experience Little Monsters when it's released in theaters (for one day) and on Hulu this October, and new character posters and the film's red band trailer have now been revealed, offering a look at the humor and horror that unfolds when zombies invade a kindergarten field trip at the petting zoo.

Before it's released on Hulu on October 11th, Little Monsters will arrive in theaters for one night only via NEON and Hulu on Tuesday, October 8th, featuring a live-stream Q&A with Lupita Nyong'o, Alexander England, and writer/director Abe Forsythe.

You can check out the character posters and red band trailer for Little Monsters below, and in case you missed it, read Wixson's Sundance interview with writer/director Abe Forsythe.

"LITTLE MONSTERS follows Dave (Alexander England), a washed-up musician who volunteers to chaperone his nephew’s kindergarten class field trip after taking a serious liking to the fearless schoolteacher, Miss Caroline (Lupita Nyong’o). Dave’s intentions are complicated by the presence of the world’s most famous kids’ show personality and competition for Miss Caroline’s affections, Teddy McGiggle (Josh Gad).

One thing none of them bargained for, however, is a sudden zombie outbreak. Will Dave rise to the occasion and have a chance at Miss Caroline’s heart, or will the zombies get there first?"
