Gearbox gave the UK edition of The Official Playstation Magazine an exclusive playthrough of Aliens: Colonial Marines. While much of what they saw was similar to our previous E3 coverage, they did walk away with new information on the upcoming Aliens shooter:

-[Spoiler Warning] Remember that Colonial Marines is a sequel to Aliens. We're going to see familiar locations and characters including:  Burke and Hudson

-You'll be back on the Sulaco, and Gearbox has confirmed that you'll be able to ride in the dropship Bishop, Ripley, Hicks, and Newt were in.

-The game will be linear for the most part, which allows Gearbox to include scripted scares and events.

-One thing we're not loving is the news that there will be quick time events in the game. For those that don't know what it means, it's the part in certain games where you have to press one of the game buttons at the right to to perform an maneuver/event.

For more information on their playthrough, pick up the latest copy of The Official Playstation Magazine (UK).
