Excited for the release of Evil Dead next month? The movie makes its world premiere at SXSW this Friday, but if you're not able to make it out, take a look at some new footage included in a TV spot for the movie.

“Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

A core cast of young, fresh talent includes Jane Levy (Suburgatory) as Mia; Shiloh Fernandez (Deadgirl, Red Riding Hood) as David; Lou Taylor Pucci (Carriers) as Eric; Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) as Olivia and Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker) as Natalie.”

Evil Dead was directed by Fede Alvarez and will be released to theaters on April 5th. We recently mentioned that the original cut of Evil Dead was NC-17 and needed to be cut down to receive an R rating. It has officially been given an R rating from the MPAA for “strong bloody violence and gore, some sexual content and language.”
