For those that survive, nothing will ever be the same in the world of The Walking Dead after what happened in the mid-season 8 finale, and a new batch of photos show what some familiar faces are up to after the latest shocking revelation [spoiler warning for those who haven't seen the mid-season 8 finale].

Revealed by EW, the new Walking Dead photos show Rick, Michonne, Daryl, and others in the aftermath of Carl being bitten by a walker. These photos are from the back half of season 8, so it's not certain exactly where they fall on the timeline, but we will see them on screen at some point in the final eight episodes of the season.

Here's what Chandler Riggs told EW about his character's fate on the show:

“He's definitely leaving behind a really long-lasting legacy, which was the coolest part about playing those final moments — knowing that Carl was going to have such a lasting impact on the story.”

We'll see what kind of impact Carl has on his dad and other survivors when The Walking Dead will return for the second half of its 16-episode eighth season on Sunday, February 25th at 9:00 pm EST. In the meantime, you can get a look at what's to come in the photos below, and in case you missed it, watch the preview video for the second half of The Walking Dead's eighth season.
