After the way Season 4 finale ended, it's going to be difficult for fans to hold out until the show resumes in October. Filming of the new season hasn't started yet, so we won't get our first good look at The Walking Dead Season 5 until July, but AMC released a new poster and video that teases what's ahead. It has also been revealed that three actors from Season 4 are being promoted to series regulars.

We met Andrew J. West as Gareth, the leader of Terminus, in the Season 4 finale and he's one of three actors that are getting the new "series regular" status, according to THR. The other two are Alanna Masterson (Tara) and Christian Serratos (Rosita). This means that they will likely be more prominently featured in The Walking Dead Season 5, but it does not mean that they cannot be killed. For example, David Morrissey was bumped up to "series regular" in Season 4.

It has already been confirmed that Scott Gimple is back as the showrunner for Season 5 and sixteen episodes are planned. An October premiere is expected and it's very likely that we'll get our first look at The Walking Dead Season 5 footage at Comic-Con in July. Until then, take a look at the teaser poster below and we've also included a new video with the cast & producers teasing what's ahead.
