There are many elements both fresh and familiar in the upcoming Terminator Genisys, and the latest look at the film emphasizes the new twists on the classic film franchise by focusing on the silver-haired T-800 played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…"

Hitting theaters on July 1st, 2015, from Paramount Pictures, Terminator Genisys is directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World, Game of Thrones) off a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a protective T-800, Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as an adult John Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, Matt Smith in a yet to be revealed role, as well as Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, Byung-hun Lee, and J. K. Simmons.

Two sequels to the Terminator reboot are expected, with Terminator 2 due out on May 19th, 2017, and Terminator 3 slated for release on June 29th, 2018, and the plan is for both sequels to film back-to-back.
