Given the cult status of Nightmare Before Christmas and Tim Burton's recent new work with Disney, it should come as no surprise that there may be talks or some initial concept work being done behind the scenes on a potential sequel. However, we have some additional confirmation, by the way of Dread Central, that should at least help keep fans optimistic that they may see a sequel in the future:
"When asked if he would like to work with Burton again, Reubens replied that he'd like to, but Burton has so many projects happening right now, includingDark Shadows, it's not likely. He went on to mention a few more, but the big reveal came when Reubens mentioned that Burton is also planning a sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas."
