The small town of Hawkins, Indiana was host to eerie events in the first season of Stranger Things, but the Upside Down looks to have an even bigger presence in season 2, which is teased in a gorgeous new poster that reveals an October 27th premiere date for the show's anticipated return.

An official synopsis for Stranger Things 2 has yet to be revealed, but with the series having a Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 22nd, fans can expect to see a new trailer soon, and we'll be sure to share it with Daily Dead readers when it drops.

Although the Super Bowl teaser trailer (see below) for Stranger Things 2 implied that the show would return on Halloween, the new poster reveals that the second season will in fact be released on Friday, October 27th, still in the heart of Halloween season.

In the meantime, you can check out the new poster below (via Netflix's official Twitter account), and stay tuned for more updates on Stranger Things 2.
