Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot are preparing to go behind enemy lines by announcing the full cast for their upcoming movie Overlord, which follows World War II paratroopers encountering something unexpected (and potentially supernatural) in a Nazi-dominated community.

We have the announcement of the full cast (including Game of Thrones' Jacob Anderson, pictured above) for Overlord below, which sounds like it could have a Wolfenstein vibe to it, and has also been speculated to maybe have ties to the Cloverfield universe.

Time will tell what unknown horrors the paratroopers will face in Overlord, and we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details are revealed for the new movie, which starts filming in the UK this May.

Press Release: HOLLYWOOD, CA (May 17, 2017) – Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot jointly announced today the complete cast for OVERLORD, from Director Julius Avery (SON OF A GUN).

Joining the previously announced casting of Jovan Adepo and Wyatt Russell, the film will also star Jacob Anderson (GAME OF THRONES), Dominic Applewhite (THE KING’S SPEECH), Pilou Asbaek (GAME OF THRONES), Iain de Caestecker (Marvel's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.), John Magaro (THE BIG SHORT), Mathilde Ollivier (THE MISFORTUNES OF FRANCOIS JANE), and Bokeem Woodbine (FARGO).

The Bad Robot production is produced by J.J. Abrams and Lindsey Weber, and written by Billy Ray (CAPTAIN PHILLIPS) and Mark L. Smith (THE REVENANT).

On the eve of D-Day, a group of American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success.  But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation.

The film will begin shooting this May in the U.K.
