If you follow Robert Kirkman on Twitter, you've probably heard him mention a hardcover compendium in the past. Now, a hardcover "bible-style" edition of The Walking Dead Compendium One is official.

For your first chance to pick up the book, you'll have to attend the Emerald City Comic-Con this weekend. Otherwise, be on the lookout for this at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. Collecting the first 48 issues, this new hardcover will only set you back $100:

"It’s been a pipe dream here at the Skybound offices to get the epic Walking Dead Compendium printed hard bound, bible-style… and we’ve finally done it.

For the first time ever, we’re going to have the 48-issue, 1,000+ page monster done as a hardcover with a gold embossed logo, featuring a new cover illustration by Charlie Adlard.

While we won’t have all of these ready until San Diego Comic-Con, come to SKYBOUND BOOTH #310 at Emerald City Comic-Con this weekend, and take one home with you. Rumor has it that there will be one hundred of these bad boys available at the show, and that we’ll be selling them for only $100."
