Starring Craig Robinson and Adam Scott, the paranormal comedy scripted project Ghosted has received a pilot episode order from Fox.

Variety reports the news of the pilot pickup of Ghosted, which is described as The X-Files with a funny slant.

According to Variety, the show "follows a cynical skeptic (Robinson) and a genius 'true believer' in the paranormal (Scott) who are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant 'unexplained' activity in Los Angeles, all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race."

In addition to starring in the single-camera show, Scott and Robinson will executive produce the project with Naomi Scott, Oly Obst, Mark Schulman and Tom Gormican, the lattermost of whom wrote the pilot episode. Also executive producing and set to be the showrunner is Kevin Etten (Workaholics).

Time will tell if Ghosted will be ordered to series by Fox, and we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on the paranormal comedy.
