After facing off against the demon Pazuzu in The Exorcist, Linda Blair faced off against a vicious murderer that made some horror fans "pray for day" in the 1981 slasher film Hell Night (read our own Scott Drebit's Drive-In Dust Offs on the film here), coming out this January on a Collector's Edition Blu-ray / DVD combo pack from Scream Factory that's brimming with almost four hours of bonus features:

Press Release: One dark night 12 years ago, madman Raymond Garth butchered his wife and children in their mansion before killing himself. Legend has it that one child survived the slaughter and remains hidden in the house as a deformed monster. Years later on pledge night, a group of new fraternity and sorority pledges must spend an evening in this creepy mansion on the anniversary of the killings. But what starts off as a night of innocent pranks and rowdiness soon turns deadly…

On January 2, 2018, SCREAM FACTORY™ Home Entertainment is proud to present the cult horror classic HELL NIGHT on Blu-ray for the first time. Directed by Tom DeSimone (Reform School Girls) and produced by Irwin Yablans (Halloween) and Bruce Cohn Curtis (Dreamscape), the film stars Linda Blair (The Exorcist), Peter Barton (Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter), Vincent Van Patten (Rock ‘N’ Roll High School), Kevin Brophy (The Seduction), Jenny Neumann (Mistress of the Apes), Suki Goodwin (Voyagers) and Jimmy Sturtevant (The Competition).

This definitive collector’s edition release contains nearly 4 hours of extras including brand-new interviews with Linda Blair, principal cast and crew members, rare stills, a look at the original filming location and much more! A must-have for movie collectors, horror enthusiasts and loyal fans, the HELL NIGHT Collector’s Edition also includes a collectible slipcover featuring newly rendered artwork and a reversible cover wrap featuring original theatrical key art.

“We are beyond thrilled that we are finally able to bring this highly-requested and much-loved thrill ride back into circulation so that older and newer generations of fans can appreciate its special place in horror film history,” says Jeff Nelson, Senior Marketing Director of Scream Factory, “It’s a fantastic movie with a beautiful look and unique energy that definitely deserves to be reevaluated.”

"I recently saw HELL NIGHT and I found myself jumping at long forgotten scares, admiring the beautiful Mac Ahlberg cinematography and the wonderfully natural chemistry between the actors led by Linda's committed performance,” says Producer Bruce Cohn Curtis, “I immediately wanted to share this in the best possible way with the fans and attract new audiences. Thank you Shout Factory for making it possible!"
