Prometheus Date Change

2011/01/26 22:59:16 +00:00 | Jonathan James

We reported earlier in the month that Ridley Scott's Alien prequel had now morphed into the standalone sci-fi Prometheus, which was scheduled for March, 2012. Fox has just announced that the release date has changed slightly to June 8th, 2012.

The announcement probably had nothing to do with the actual production of the film, but rather was due to the fact that Disney recently moved their Pixar sci-fi, John Carter of Mars, to June 2012 and Fox didn't want the competition. For the original Prometheus announcement, check out our previous story.
