Image Comics originally set a March release date for The Walking Dead: The Governor Special, but it's now being released early to coincide with the return of The Walking Dead Season 3. This special issue reprints The Governor's first appearance in the comic book series, and also contains a rare origin story many haven't read.
"The second half of the Season 3 of AMC’s The Walking Dead begins on February 10, and Image Comics is helping you make the most of the excitement surrounding the event by shipping The Walking Dead: The Governor Special early.
Originally solicited to go on sale March 6, the Special will now be in stores on February 13."
