Thanks to Milla Jovovich and her love of Twitter, we're getting a steady flow of new information on Resident Evil: Retribution. Today, she posted the main cast list, along with the characters they are playing, confirming speculation that all returning actors who had been killed in previous films will still be playing their old characters.

"Oh my goodness! Ok here's another COMPLETE cast list of all our main characters:
Alice: me!
Luther: @boriskodjoe [Boris Kodjoe]
Rain: @mrodofficial [Michelle Rodriguez]
One: @colinsalmon24 [Colin Salmon]
Jill Valentine: @guillorybe [Sienna Guillory]
Leon S. Kennedy: Johann Urb
Barry Burton: Kevin Durand
Ada Wong: Li Bingbing
Carlos Oliveira: Oded Fehr
Albert Wesker: Shawn Roberts
And as our gorgeous Japanese zombuddy: Mika Nakashima"

For those who are wondering how the previously killed characters are coming back to life, director Paul W.S. Anderson mentioned that the Las Plagas parasite from the games will be a big part of this movie, and we're assuming that Umbrella is using it to control both the living and the undead.

This cast list also confirms that Kevin Durand will be playing game character Barry Burton. In the video games, Burton is a member of the Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.), which is the same team that Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine belong to.

Absent from the cast list is Wentworth Miller, who played Chris Redfield in Resident Evil: Afterlife. Was there a scheduling conflict or are they saving his return as a surprise/cameo? Hopefully, we'll have more information on his character's appearance or lack of appearance in the near future.

Resident Evil: Retribution will be released on September 14th, 2012, and is currently filming in Toronto over the next couple of months. Filming is also expected to take place afterward in Tokyo and Moscow.
