One of the most buzzed-about horror movies of the year (read Heather Wixson's 4-star Sundance review here) is coming to Blu-ray and DVD in the US soon (in addition to an upcoming release on Shudder in the US) from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

Blu-ray.com reports that Revenge—written and directed by Coralie Fargeat and starring Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz and Kevin Janssens—will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in the US beginning August 7th from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

Other than the film's trailer, no special features have been announced at this time, but we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on further announcements.

Synopsis and special features (via Blu-ray.com): Jen is enjoying a romantic getaway with her wealthy boyfriend -- until his two sleazy friends arrive for an unannounced hunting trip. As tension mounts in the house, the situation abruptly and viciously intensifies, culminating in a shocking act that leaves Jen left for dead. Unfortunately for her assailants, she survives and soon begins a relentless quest for bloody revenge.
