MGM has hired Josh Zetumer to write the screenplay for the new Robocop reboot. The name may not sound familiar, but he had written the script for the scrapped Dune movie to be directed by Peter Berg, as well as the abandoned 4th Bourne film.

It was reported only last week that Brazillian director Jose Padilha had been hired for a new take on Robocop for MGM. Now that MGM has gotten itself out of its financial problems, they are quickly pushing forward with their top properties, including The Hobbit, 007, and Robocop.
