Dario Argento is busy at work with his take on Dracula, and the first bit of casting new is that Rutger Hauer will star in the film as Van Helsing.

Right now details on the the film and additional casting are limited, but we know that the film will be shot in 3D and is scheduled to begin production in May.

With a career spanning over 100 films, Rutger Hauer is one of those actors who usually shine in every film he's in. Although he's probably most famous for his work in Blade Runner, you'll probably also recognize his more recent work in Batman Begins, Hobo with a Shotgun, and Sin City. I'll think he'll do a great job as Van Helsing and am interested in seeing who is chosen to fill the other lead roles.
