As someone who lived through the boy band mania that became a worldwide phenomena in the late 1990s (and I’m also old enough to remember a similar movement in the 1980s as well), as soon as I saw this hilarious horror-fied take on the Backstreets Boys’ “I Want it That Way” video that became a juggernaut on music television nearly 20 years ago, I knew it was something that needed to be shared far and wide.

Released by The Merkins, “I’ll Kill You That Way” puts horror fans’ favorite slasher stars front and center, with Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, Leatherface and Michael Myers waxing lyrical about their need to kill those special ladies in their lives. Not only is it a hysterical and loving tribute to these iconic genre villains, but it also lovingly pays homage to the music video that put the Backstreet Boys on the proverbial map back in the day.

Check out “I’ll Kill You That Way” for yourself below (and get ready to have its catchy lyrics stuck in your head too)!
