Shaun of the Dead was given a limited theatrical release when it opened in 2004 in the US, so it's likely that many of you haven't seen it on the big screen. You'll get your chance in August, because Regal Theaters just announced that they'll be showing Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End together in select theaters.

The event will take place on Thursday, August 22nd and it will cost $20 to see all three movies. Shaun of the Dead will begin at 5:30pm, Hot Fuzz plays at 7:30, and The World's End will screen at 10:00pm. Dozens of theaters across the US will be participating, and you can check out the full list at: http://www.regmovies.com/cornettotrilogy

It is also expected that Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost will appear at additional US screenings. We should have more details in the coming weeks.

“In The World’s End, 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.”

Directed by Edgar Wright, The World’s End stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan, and Rosamund Pike. The movie will be released in the US on August 23rd and is already playing in the UK.
