*Updated: The release date has now been put back to August 21st.* Previously: Horror fans excited for the return of Bughuul will have to wait an extra week to check out the Sinister sequel. Originally slated for August 21st, Gramercy Pictures let us know that the release date had been pushed back to August 28th. Check back later this week some special features we're working on for Sinister 2, including a behind-the-scenes report.

"The sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit horror movie. In the aftermath of the shocking events in “Sinister,” a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life brothers Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Bughuul continues to spread with frightening intensity."

Sinister 2 was directed by Ciaran Foy (Citadel) from a screenplay co-written by original Sinister writers Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill.
