Attendees of this year's SXSW Film Festival should have no trouble getting their hands on some damn fine coffee, pie, and doughnuts. Ahead of the return of David Lynch's seminal series, Showtime will have an immersive Twin Peaks experience in Austin this March, and Special Agent Dale Cooper himself, Kyle MacLachlan, will be making a special appearance.

Press Release: NEW YORK, NY – February 23, 2017 – SHOWTIME will bring the world of TWIN PEAKS to the South by Southwest® (SXSW) Conference And Festivals on Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17 with an immersive experience at The Showtime House at Clive Bar on Rainey Street in Austin, Texas. Golden Globe® winner and Emmy® Award-nominated TWIN PEAKS star Kyle MacLachlan will make a special appearance on Thursday night at The Showtime House. SHOWTIME will also host a special two-day musical lineup with afternoon and evening sessions, featuring music inspired by TWIN PEAKS. Performers will include Neko Case, Real Estate, M. Ward, Agnes Obel, Holly Macve, Julie Byrne, Alex Cameron, Aldous Harding, Alexandra Savior, Cameron Avery and Annie Hart (of Au Revoir Simone), Tim Darcy, L.A. Salami and Let’s Eat Grandma. SXSW badge holders will be transported into an immersive TWIN PEAKS experience at The Showtime House, with themed cocktails, premium merchandise and a photo booth at the TWIN PEAKS lodge. Adjacent to Clive Bar on Rainey Street, SHOWTIME is giving fans the opportunity to stop by the Double R Diner pop-up shop, offering a limited quantity of local Austin treats including free High Brew Coffee and Tiny Pies cherry pie. The Double R Diner will open its doors at noon on Thursday, March 16. Additionally, Voodoo Doughnut is creating a limited collection of TWIN PEAKS-inspired doughnuts. The complimentary creations will be distributed each day at the Voodoo Doughnut shop on 6th Street from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as the Double R Diner from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

The new limited event series TWIN PEAKS will debut with a two-part premiere on Sunday, May 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on air, on demand and over the internet. Immediately following the premiere, SHOWTIME subscribers will have access to the third and fourth parts, exclusively across the SHOWTIME streaming service, SHOWTIME ANYTIME® and SHOWTIME ON DEMAND®. In its second week, TWIN PEAKS will air the third and fourth parts back-to-back on SHOWTIME on May 28, starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed by single parts in subsequent weeks.

Directed entirely by David Lynch, the new SHOWTIME 18-part limited event series picks up 25 years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered.
