**Updated release date: October 18th*** High-Def Digest received early word that The Crow will be receiving a Blu-ray release from Lionsgate on September 6th. At this time there is no information on pricing or extras, but the video and audio will be digitally remastered, so the film will get the obvious Blu-ray quality bump.

For those that missed out on earlier news, a reboot of The Crow is currently in the planning stages at Relativity Media. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) has officially signed on as the director and they are looking to cast their lead actor and begin production later this year. There have been a few legal snags over distribution rights over the last couple of months, but the project still appears to be moving forward. We'll post more info on the original film's DVD release and reboot as it becomes available.
