The wait is nearly over, as this week marks the beginning of the first-ever Overlook Film Festival. Eric Kohn is the chief film critic and a senior editor for Indiewire as well as the manager of the Criticwire network. His work has also appeared The New York Times, New York magazine, Variety, Filmmaker, and several other publications. Born in Texas and raised in Seattle, he holds bachelors and masters degrees in cinema studies from NYU. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his girlfriend, two cats and a projector.ALICIA MALONE
Alicia Malone is a film reporter, film critic, TV host, writer, and all around movie geek. THE KILLING GROUND INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE
Engage in an exciting cat-and-mouse game of assassination and survival on the final day of the festival, Inspired by the upcoming IFC release THE KILLING GROUND (screening at 8:15pm Sunday 4/30 and Friday 4/28 at 8:00pm). Using Timberline Lodge as it’s game board, players will be divided into teams and must collect weapons, ammunition and other tools, while avoiding being hunted and killed. Competitors have the opportunity to take on different roles and complete several types of tasks. The experience is open to all festival guests. Join us for one final interactive experience and play to win, thanks to official sponsor IFC Midnight.

Raised on a steady diet of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps books and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Derek has been fascinated with fear since he first saw ForeverWare being used on an episode of Eerie, Indiana.
