There may not be an overload of horror movies making it to theaters this Halloween, but there are plenty of things to get excited about, including classic re-releases on Blu-ray and new movies making their way to VOD. Something else we thought our readers would be interested in is a recently launched short film series, titled "Halloween Night." The first short film was directed by Mickey Keating (Ritual) and you can watch it right now.

Here's what Keating had to say about his short, titled Trick: "For the film, I wanted to put a very stylized spin on the old horror trope of the helpless victim tied to a chair, awaiting their doom.  In this case, the doom is in the form of a costumed killer who collects the heads of trick-or-treaters on Halloween night."
