Arriving in theaters this weekend is Deon Taylor’s The Intruder, a psychological thriller centered around an unsuspecting couple (Michael Ealy and Meagan Good) who decide to buy the home of their dreams, but end up living in a waking nightmare when the original owner (Dennis Quaid) decides he’s just not ready to give up his house after all, and makes their life a living hell.

At the recent press day for The Intruder, Daily Dead had the opportunity to sit down with Taylor and talk about his latest film project. During our interview, he discussed his passion for making films based in a sense of realism and relatability, and how there’s more to The Intruder than meets the eye. Taylor also chatted about bringing together his stellar core cast in Ealy, Good, and Quaid, and how Dennis not only changed the dynamic of the film’s story, but also “left it all on screen” with his unbelievable performance in The Intruder.

Check out our exclusive video interview with Taylor below, and look for more on The Intruder later this week, right here on Daily Dead.
