The wait is nearly over! Ari Aster’s Hereditary is set to invade theaters on Friday, June 8th (with early screenings happening nationwide on June 7th) courtesy of A24, and this writer is so excited for horror fans to get to experience what was truly one of the most incredibly unsettling viewing experiences I’ve had so far this year.

Starring Toni Collette, Gabriel Byrne, Alex Wolff, and Milly Shapiro, Hereditary follows the Graham family, who is mourning the loss of their matriarch, but things begin to get even worse for their clan after a series of tragedies and terrifying occurrences push the boundaries of their familial bond.

At a recent press day, Daily Dead caught up with both Wolff and Shapiro, and they discussed what they enjoyed about digging into their characters, and how they not only fit into director Aster’s disturbing world, but also confront grief in a very unique way.

Look for Hereditary in theaters everywhere June 8th, and in case you missed it, enter our contest for a chance to win free tickets to an early screening of Hereditary in one of 17 US cities.
