It looks as if AMC and Anchor Bay will be releasing a special 3-disc edition of The Walking Dead Season 1 in October. A banner posted at the San Diego Comic-Con advertised the following: "Season 1 Special Edition 3-Disc Set Available on Blu-ray and DVD this October. Features hours of never-before-seen content!"
In our review of The Walking Dead season 1 Blu-ray, we noted that it was a little light on extras. Although we're only expecting new bonus features, it would be great if this special edition contained extended/director's cut episodes. With Comic-Con starting tonight, we expect an official announcement in the next few days.
