Following the recent New York Comic Con panel, the first teaser trailer for Carrie has been released:

"The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc."

Carrie will be released on March 15th, 2013, was directed by Kimberly Peirce, and stars Chloe Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde, and Ansel Elgort. We've included previously released photos, teaser poster, and a birth certificate below.

  • This looks quite vast, and is very likely a powerful film. The original was powerful from the “hydrogen bomb in a small town” point of view. Also its powerful religious dialectic. This trailer seems to be destruction on a far more vast canvas, if that is possible without losing the familial /religious terrorization that is inherent in the novel. This adaptation, given those on board with the project, should be a huge hit.

  • This looks extremely broad, it is probably a great dvd. The was initially
amazing on the “hydrogen bomb in a small town” angle. At the same time it’s
amazing orlando dialectic. The along with a definitely seems to be exploitation
at a alot more broad canvas, whenever which may be doable without losing the
very suite /religious terrorization which may be natural on the work of fiction.
The conversion, assigned the ones on this phone considering the work, should be
    a significant hurt.
