Skyfall was the only wide theatrical release this weekend and proved that the Bond franchise is stronger than ever. The 23rd installment of the series earned $87 million dollars in the US this weekend, making it the biggest opening for a Bond film. Combined with international ticket sales, the movie has earned $518.6 million to date.

The rest of the top ten looks very similar to the way it did last week. Wreck-It Ralph continues to have solid ticket sales and will cross the $100 million mark next week. Both Flight an Argo are expected to be Oscar contenders, with positive audience and critical reaction bringing new viewers in every week. Argo should have no problem crossing $100 million in the coming weeks.

This is probably the last week that Hotel Transylvania will stay in the top 10, but it's been a great ride for everyone involved with the movie. It has earned over $140 million domestically and Sony recently announced a sequel for 2015.

Next week sees the release of Breaking Dawn Part 2 which should have no problem opening with $100+ million. Here are the results for this weekend:

1. Skyfall - $87,800,000
2. Wreck-It Ralph - $33,056,000
3. Flight - $15,100,000
