If you've listened to our Corpse Club podcast or read our 2019 favorites lists, then you know many of us here at Daily Dead are passionate fans of FX's What We Do in the Shadows, so we're especially thrilled and chilled that the network has renewed the show for a third season.

The renewal news comes from multiple outlets, including The Hollywood Reporter. Based on the 2014 horror comedy of the same name, What We Do in the Shadows is well into its second season and has enjoyed strong ratings, intriguing character arcs, and notable guest stars including Mark Hamill and Craig Robinson.

The What We Do in the Shadows series is executive produced by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement (who co-wrote, co-directed, and co-starred in the 2014 film), along with Paul Simms, Scott Rudin, Garrett Basch, Eli Bush, and Stefani Robinson. The show's core cast of Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Matt Berry, Mark Proksch and Harvey Guillén have quickly become fan favorites in the horror community.

It's not known when the third season will premiere or how many episodes it will contain, but the first two seasons include 10 episodes apiece.

Stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates on What We Do in the Shadows, and in case you missed it, check out our recent season 2 interview with Harvey Guillén and Heather Wixson's five favorite moments from the first season.
