News broke earlier this year that Universal is following up their recent remake of The Wolfman with a direct-to-DVD effort, directed by Louis Morneau (Joy Ride 2, The Hitcher II). While expectations will undoubtedly be low, we are curious this project and have information on the film's plot.
According to Bloody Disgusting, "the plot is The new film will take place in a 1901 Romania with the lead character, 'Daniel,' caring for his sick mother and attending medical school. Daniel is then recruited to join a group of nomad bounty-hunters tracking down 'a disturbing presence' terrorizing the town. Daniel and 'Charles' quickly bond and must work together to uncover who this new breed of werwolf is. From what I'm being told, this sequel is very 'whodunit'".
There is no release date or casting information, but filming begins later this year and we'll have more updates on this sequel in the coming months.
