Artwork:

Gallery 1988: Being based in Los Angeles, I’m extremely fortunate to have a lot of cool places to see stellar pop culture-themed artwork. One of my all-time favorite places to visit is Gallery 1988, as the artists they feature are generally pretty great, and I’ve been able to pick up a handful of cool pieces over the last few years.

If you’re looking for some fun gifts this holiday, check out this Gremlins-inspired Mogwai checklist artwork, this stunning Dan Mumford RoboCop print, this piece that’s a tribute to David Cronenberg’s The Fly, or you may want to take a look at this excellent Big Trouble in Little China print if you have a John Carpenter fan on your shopping list this year.

Gallery 1988 is also currently having a 30% off sale right now online (use code HOLIDAY when checking out), so there's no time like the present to grab your—eh, well, presents.

Vinyl Pick of the Day:

Back to the Future – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2xLP (Mondo)

Back To The Future is the story of Marty McFly, a teenager out of his depth as a series of unfortunate events send him back in time to the year 1955, where he accidentally interrupts his parents from meeting, potentially preventing his own conception.

Regarded as one of the greatest Science Fiction films of all time, it also has a masterful score composed by Alan Silvestri that is triumphant, whimsical and adventurous. Never before released on Vinyl, Silvestri's score is incredibly iconic, and essential for soundtrack collectors.

Mondo web exclusive version pressed on Clear 180 Gram Vinyl with Electric Blue splatter. Also available on 180 gram Black Vinyl

Apparel:

Today’s apparel selections come from the twisted minds over at teeVillain. They regularly feature new products on their site, so be sure to check back there frequently for new shirts and other fun stuff. As far as current shirts go, though, I really dug the Sexual Predator and Clockwork Orange designs.

Enamel Pins:

For today’s purveyors of enamel pins, we’re taking a look at several of the killer designs from Headstone City. I’m a big fan of their Elm Street sign pin and their Creepshow tribute pin, too, but it’s this STAB pin that won my horror-loving heart. Also, Back to the Future fans might want to check out this neat DeLorean pin, too.
