This Friday, Insidious: Chapter 3 arrives in theaters everywhere and in anticipation of its release, Daily Dead recently chatted at the press day with the film's cast and writer/director Leigh Whannell (who pulls triple duty in front of the camera as well) about their experiences collaborating on the prequel.

Insidious: Chapter 3 marks the first time Whannell, who co-created the series with James Wan, is handling directorial duties and we heard from both Dermot Mulroney and Stefanie Scott about their onscreen time together playing Sean and Quinn Brenner, a father and daughter who enlist the help of Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) after an evil force begins tormenting the latter unexpectedly. The duo discussed the relationship between their characters and also gave us their thoughts on working with both Whannell and Shaye for the latest Insidious and the challenges that come with working in the horror genre.

Check out our video interviews with both Mulroney and Scott below and look for more on Insidious: Chapter 3 all this week.
