Dead by Daylight warned gamers not to fall asleep in a recent video that teased the addition of Freddy Krueger to the video game's blood-spattered ranks (which already include Michael Myers and Leatherface). Now a new trailer for Dead by Daylight confirms that gamers won't even be safe in their dreams, as Freddy Krueger is coming to Dead by Daylight in a new A Nightmare on Elm Street chapter.
You can watch the dream stalker of Springwood make his grand entrance in the trailer below, and keep an eye out for the new Nightmare on Elm Street chapter when it comes to Steam on October 26th. There's no word yet if the new chapter will include other characters from the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Nancy to make an appearance), but we'll keep you updated as more details are revealed.
For those unfamiliar with Dead by Daylight, the video game (available on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One) allows you to play as a killer who stalks survivors and tries to kill them one by one, or as a survivor fighting to live to see another day. When Dead by Daylight released their Haddonfield map, it allowed gamers to play as both Michael Myers and Laurie Strode, so gamers should get the chance to play as both Freddy and the people trying to elude his claws in the new chapter.
