If you've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Ari Aster's second feature-length film after he shocked audiences with Hereditary, then you'll be pleased (and chilled) to experience A24's teaser trailer for Midsommar ahead of the film's theatrical release this summer.

Although specific plot details for Midsommar have been kept under wraps, the new teaser trailer follows a group of friends to a rural community to take part in a festival that only happens every 90 years. Although the movie features vibrant summery colors (with Aster re-teaming with Hereditary cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski), there are sinister intentions lurking just beneath the surface.

Written and directed by Aster, Midsommar stars Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, and Will Poulter. The movie is currently scheduled to come out on August 9th, and we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on the anticipated film from the writer and director of Hereditary.
