Longtime Daily Dead readers may remember that over the course of several years, artist Jeff Fuller showcased the undying humor of everyday horrors in a zombie apocalypse in his morbidly funny comic strip Zomics. We gave you the first taste of new Zomics during our Comic-Con@ Home coverage, and Jeff Fuller is back with a brand new skydiving zombie!
Influenced by Dr. Seuss and The Addams Family creator Charles Addams, Fuller has worked as an award-winning art director for nearly a quarter of a century, garnering multiple Emmy and BDA awards. He turned his artistic talents to zombies when he started thinking about the comedic qualities that would live on in a living dead world:
"The origin of Zomics: While camping with my wife and kids we started discussing what life would be like if there really were zombies. We decided that it would be a little scary, a little gross and a lot of funny. This was the birth of the single panel zombie comic strip, or ZOMICS for short."
After more than a decade as a consultant in the tech and entertainment industries, Jonathan James launched Daily Dead in 2010 to share his passion for horror entertainment.
