"Avenge father. Save mother. Kill Fjölnir." Eagerly awaiting the next movie from Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Witch)? Your wait is nearly over. Focus Features will release Eggers' The Northman in theaters on April 22nd, and the official trailer has now been unveiled, offering a look into the film's harrowing story of revenge, rescue, and visceral violence in the age of the Vikings.
Directed by Eggers from a screenplay he co-wrote with Sjón, The Northman stars Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Gustav Lindh, Ethan Hawke, Björk, and Willem Dafoe.
