THE BABY: "The HBO original eight-episode limited series THE BABY, from creators Siân Robins-Grace and Lucy Gaymer, debuts on SUNDAY, APRIL 24 (10:30-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. A horror comedy co-production with SKY, and produced by SISTER and Proverbial Pictures, THE BABY presents a darkly funny, raw examination of motherhood, from the perspective of a woman who doesn’t want to be one.
Michelle De Swarte (“The Duchess”) stars as 38-year-old Natasha, who is furious that her closest friends are all having babies. But when she is unexpectedly landed with a baby of her own, her life dramatically implodes. Controlling, manipulative, but incredibly cute, the baby twists Natasha’s life into a surreal horror show. As she discovers the true extent of the baby’s deadly nature, Natasha makes increasingly desperate attempts to get rid of it. She doesn’t want a baby. But the baby definitely wants her.
The series also stars Amira Ghazalla (“The Rhythm Section”) as Mrs. Eaves, the 70-year-old enigma who has spent the last fifty years living out of her car and seems to be everywhere the Baby is, and Amber Grappy as Bobbi, Natasha’s younger sister, a children’s magician who would love nothing more than to be a parent, to give love and to receive it.
Additional cast includes Patrice Naiambana (“Spectre”) as Natasha’s father Lyle, Sinéad Cusack (“Marcella”) as her mother Barbara. Shvorne Marks (“Endeavour”) as Mags, Isy Suttie (“Peep Show”) as Rita, Tanya Reynolds (“Sex Education”) as Helen, Seyan Sarvan (HBO Max’s “It’s a Sin”) as Nour, Karl Davies (“The Tower”) as Jack, and Divian Ladwa (“Ant-Man and the Wasp”) as Fooze.
THE BABY is a co-production between HBO and SKY and is produced by SISTER (“Chernobyl,” “Landscapers,” “This is Going to Hurt”) and Proverbial Pictures. The series is co-created by Siân Robins-Grace and Lucy Gaymer; executive produced by Jane Featherstone, Carolyn Strauss and Naomi de Pear for SISTER, Siân Robins-Grace and Nicole Kassell; co-executive produced by Katie Carpenter; produced by Lucy Gaymer. The series is directed by Nicole Kassell, Stacey Gregg, Faraz Shariat and Ella Jones, and written by Siân Robins-Grace, Susan Soon He Stanton, Kara Smith, Anchuli Felicia King and Sophie Goodhart."

Screening of "CARRIE" Inside Gymnasium Where it was Filmed!:
"ON SET CINEMA - CARRIE (1976)
WITH SPECIAL GUEST WILLIAM KATT (TOMMY ROSS)
Saturday, July 30, 2022
Hermosa Beach, California • Bates High School Gymnasium
On Set Cinema invites you to Bates High School senior prom! Cover up those dirty pillows and head to Hermosa Beach, California on Saturday, July 30, 2022 for a very special screening event of "CARRIE" (1976) with special guest William Katt (aka Tommy Ross).
William will be signing autographs, taking prom photos with fans and doing a Q&A before the screening. On Set Cinema will be showing the movie inside the actual gymnasium from the movie! So many great scenes were filmed here - including where Miss Collins (Betty Buckley) gets the girls to line up after they humiliate Carrie in the girl's locker room and tells them about her detention deal, also where Carrie (Sissy Spacek) tells Miss Collins outside that she was invited to the prom and of course where the infamous prom takes places! Just the exteriors of the prom were filmed at this location - the interior was a massive set constructed for safety reasons because of all of the fire special effects, but this is where the iconic shot of Carrie covered in blood, walking from the burning gymnasium takes place!
There will be music, silver stars, streamers, dancing, a prom photo backdrop with a blood bucket, a King & Queen costume contest and a glorious screening of Brian De Palma’s cinematic adaptation of Stephen King’s groundbreaking first ever published novel, "CARRIE"! Fans are encouraged to dress up for the prom or in costume as your favorite character from the movie, but of course it's not required to attend. This is going to be an absolutely unforgettable experience for "Carrie" fans!

With own voices bringing their unique perspective, some tropes applauded and others over-ruled, there will be something for everyone. Whether you are a slasher aficionado, a fan of splatterpunk (Kenzie Jennings and Christine Morgan are award nominees) or just looking for something different, each author brings her A Game to the table and just like Sidney, Laurie and Ripely, leaves you wanting more…"

Burn Down, Rise Up by Vincent Tirado: "Mysterious disappearances. An urban legend rumored to be responsible. And one group of friends determined to save their city at any cost. Stranger Things meets Jordan Peele in this utterly original debut from an incredible new voice.
For over a year, the Bronx has been plagued by sudden disappearances that no one can explain. Sixteen-year-old Raquel does her best to ignore it. After all, the police only look for the white kids. But when her crush Charlize's cousin goes missing, Raquel starts to pay attention—especially when her own mom comes down with a mysterious illness that seems linked to the disappearances.
Raquel and Charlize team up to investigate, but they soon discover that everything is tied to a terrifying urban legend called the Echo Game. The game is rumored to trap people in a sinister world underneath the city, and the rules are based on a particularly dark chapter in New York's past. And if the friends want to save their home and everyone they love, they will have to play the game and destroy the evil at its heart—or die trying."
