We meet Fenix, a young boy who has grown up in a circus in Mexico, where one day, he witnesses an unimaginably horrific incident… His mother, Concha, insane with rage, wreaks deranged revenge on her cheating husband. The young child, driven insane by the incident, is sent to an asylum where he must spend his childhood trying to overcome the devastating violence.
When the boy (played by the director’s son Axel Jodorowsky) reaches adolescence, he’s released into the care of his unhinged and vengeful mother. This sets off a chain of increasingly crazed and disturbing events that need to be seen to be believed in an outrageously nightmarish trip, that takes us back and forth between its twisted timelines and haunting, hallucinogenic landscapes.

Horror Icon David Howard Thornton Leads Cast in Upcoming Horror-Comedy SCREAMBOAT: "The production teams behind TERRIFIER 2 and THE MEAN ONE are thrilled to announce the cast of their upcoming Steamboat Willie-inspired horror comedy SCREAMBOAT, directed by Steven LaMorte. Headlined by horror icon David Howard Thornton and a talented ensemble, SCREAMBOAT promises to deliver chills and laughs in equal measure. Steamboat Willie, the earliest iteration of Disney’s Mickey Mouse, entered the public domain on January 1st, 2024, leading to the development of this horror reimagining.
David Howard Thornton, famed for his portrayal of Art the Clown in the TERRIFIER films, takes on the lead role as Steamboat Willie in this unique genre-blending film. David next appears in TERRIFIER 3 - the highly-anticipated sequel to the horror sensation that took the 2022 box office by storm. Joining him are Allison Pittel (STREAM), Amy Schumacher (THE MEAN ONE), Jesse Posey (TEEN WOLF, SELENA: THE SERIES), Jesse Kove (COBRA KAI), Rumi C Jean-Louis (HIGHTOWN), and horror veterans Jarlath Conroy (George A. Romero's DAY OF THE DEAD) and Charles Edwin Powell (THE EXORCIST III). The horror-comedy will feature a number of yet-to-be-announced cameo appearances as production continues later this Summer.
